Began in 1965. The Mandarin building in its exemplary white was built and officially opened in 1968. Since its inauguration, the hotel had become a famous luxury destination for both leisure and business travellers. In 1981 the hotel had undergone refurbishing and a new wing, Princess wing, had been added. The Mandarin Hotel, therefore, is divided into two wings, the Mandarin original wing and the Princess wing.
